The Art Invocation

Hi! I’m Brianna Bass, artist & founder of the Art Invocation.

This project is a hub for collecting up-to-date information on artists, galleries, and openings throughout Connecticut, to foster connectivity and engagement, and elevate the arts both statewide and beyond.

It it modeled after the exceptional and important project Locate Arts, founded and maintained by Brian Jobe in Tennessee. It is also modeled after Mineral House Media, a project I co-founded and maintained for 4 years.

It functions under the belief that organization and accessibility can transform artists’ relationships to each other and their communities.

The website aims to:

• Host a registry of Connecticut-based artists

• Keep a compendium of Connecticut galleries and organizations

• Keep a comprehensive, up-to-date page highlighting openings across the state

• Provide space for writers to publish reviews of CT shows or shows by CT artists
