My paintings are diagrammatic color games, a study of evolving systems at the intersection of order and cacophony. I draw from geometries of the color wheel, infusing color with the poetics of math as a language for understanding reality. Numbers, both random and algorithmic, are the infrastructure of each painting. Ongoing stratified number sequences, randomization processes, prime number sieves, and logical geometries all tie numbers to colors. These systems are consistent by nature, but their visual outcomes are unexpected. Lately, I have been examining the spiritual connection in the processes of the cosmos; magnetics, gravity, waves, and the quantum. There is strong commonality in theories of the soul, philosophies of reality, and scientific interpretation of everyday phenomena. Our world and inner lives need healing. I am also in constant pursuit of optical and mechanical nature of color, examining theory and experience in perpetual state of curiosity. I earned my MFA from Yale School of Art in 2022. I live in Hartford, CT and am represented by Latchkey Gallery in NYC.
